Mildura Fruit Company (MFC) is one of southern Australia's largest and most experienced avocado packers.
MFC packs Hass avocados from October to December and Fuerte (August / September) and Wurtz
(November / December). MFC also packs Bacon, Zutano, Rincon, Reed and Gwen.
All product is packed on a 6 lane Colour Vision machine, using weight sizing to achieve
uniform fruit size / pack weight. MFC applies strict post harvest temperature management
to ensure all packed avocados are delivered to the customer in a firm (backward) condition.
MFC exports avocados to a small but growing Asian market in Indonesia, Singapore and Hong Kong.
Within the Australian market, MFC only supplies specialist avocado wholesalers in capital
city markets, who have the equipment and commitment to control ripen product, to deliver avocados
to retailers in the best possible condition.
